The First Annual Converse/Eastbay Classic will be held Saturday December 13th at the Al McGuire Center on the campus of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This showcase will feature some of the best high schools in the nation.
The three-game evening session ikicks off at 5:30 pm when Milwaukee Custer will take on Oak Lawn Richards - the defending Division 4A Illinois State Champions and the alma mater of former Marquette University star, Dwayne Wade. At 7 pm King High School will take on Chicago Marshall, the defending Division 3A Illinois State Champions, and the main event will match up perennial powerhouse Oak Hill Academy and Whitney Young.
Oak Hill, led by Lamont “Momo” Jones and Doron Lamb will face a Whitney Young squad that went 26-5 last season and also has as many as eight potential NCAA Division 1 recruits, including Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend, Michael Jordan.
All proceeds from this event will go to the JG Scholarship Fund to allow deserving youth in need of assistance to further their college education in the state of Wisconsin.
