Breaking News: Eric Bledsoe Chooses Kentucky

It’s official: Eric Bledsoe chose Kentucky over Memphis Wednesday.
Bledsoe, a 6-foot point guard, averaged 20 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds while leading Parker High (Ala.) to the Class 5A state championship game.
There was some concern that Bledsoe wouldn’t qualify academically, but Parker coach Maurice Ford told the Birmingham News that Bledsoe scored a 17 on the ACT.
He went on to say that as long as Bledsoe made at least a B in a math course this semester he would qualify.
Bledsoe joins DeMarcus Cousins, Darnell Dodson, Jon Hood and Daniel Orton to make up Kentucky’s 2009 recruiting class.
