Xavier Henry’s Commitment to Kansas No Longer In Question
Words. Andrew Katz

Late last week, rumors surfaced that would have dropped Kansas out of that top spot in your college Top 25 ranking. Word was that the key piece of KU’s puzzle, Class of ‘09 standout Xavier Henry wouldn’t end up in Lawrence after all. There were some ambiguous rumblings about Henry being unhappy at KU. Kentucky fans since latched on to Xavier once more, hoping that this would re-open an opportunity for him to reunite with Coach Calipari.
But Xavier’s pops Carl Henry has since cleared the air. He told Jayhawkslant.com that both of his boys will be attending Kansas this year. Even if Xavier doesn’t show up for the summer session, that doesn’t merit concern that he’s going to spurn the Jayhawks for the Wildcats.
First, during the recruiting process, somebody opened an account pretending to be Xavier Henry, Kansas University’s incoming freshman guard out of Oklahoma City. Then last weekend, somebody posted a “tweet” that “reported” that Carl Henry, father of incoming players Xavier and C.J., had second thoughts and might order his sons to reopen their recruiting.
Carl Henry reiterated to Rivals.com on Monday night that C.J. and Xavier have enrolled at KU and definitely would be playing for the Jayhawks this season.
