Bellevue (Wash.) High point guard Aaron Bright, a 5-11 rising senior, confirmed to us via text that he committed to Stanford this past weekend, picking the Cardinal over California, San Francisco, Eastern Washington and San Diego.

Bright, who runs with Friends of Hoop AAU, out of Seattle, averaged 16.5 points and five assists per game for Bellevue last season.

It’s a big pickup for Stanford because while Bright isn’t exactly a household name on the recruiting scene, he’s cat-quick, consistently knocks down 3-pointers and is a master at the draw-and-kick maneuver.
Bright joins 6-10 center John Gage to make up Stanford’s 2010 recruiting class thus far.
