Lance Stephenson could have made Florida a National Championship contender. He could have helped Billy Donovan compete in the ultra-tough SEC. But it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. Lance is believed to be at the front of a pending NCAA investigation, which sources say that is the reason Florida has decided to pull out of the race. “There’s a zero percent chance we take him,” a UF source told Gary Parish of CBS Sports.

John Calipari took UMass from being one of the lowest ranked teams in Division I to the Final Four. After his departure, the Minutemen slipped back into relative obscurity in the A-10. Despite fears that Memphis would follow the same pattern, the Tigers are going to remain competitive in the hunt for big-time recruits. They proved that with the addition of five-star big man Latavious Williams yesterday - and they’re still a definite possibility for Lance Stephenson.

With Latavious Williams and Lance Stephenson as the last two top unsigned recruits this Spring, it looks like there is a chance that they could both end up at the same school: Memphis.
