Half Hollow Hills West (Dix Hills, N.Y.) forward Tobias Harris eclipsed 2,000 career points in an 80-63 win over Copiague in the state quarterfinals last week. He ended up with 27 points to lead the Colts, who pushed their undefeated record 20-0.
“It’s a great accomplishment and that’s something cool to look back on,” said Harris, a Tennessee signee who is ranked No. 14 in the HSH National Top 50. “But the most important thing is that we won the game and need to continue to win in order to win the states.”

Garfield High School (Seattle) guard Tony Wroten Jr. said his interest from colleges hasn’t fallen off as a result of the knee injury that could cost him his entire junior season.
Wroten tore his ACL in September, in his first game with Garfield’s football team. (He also caught a touchdown and intercepted two passes in that game.) He’s been sidelined ever since, and the reigning Class 4A state runner-up Bulldogs has struggled to stay in Washington’s Top-10 ranking without him. MORE >

It was just last week that we had Tobias Harris on our list of the Top Five Unsigned Seniors. The No. 14 prospect in the HSH Top 50, Harris said that he planned to decide on Nov. 19 where he’d go to school, and he lived up to that promise. Lake Clifton-Eastern High (Md.) star Josh Selby is at the center of one of the most complicated and intense recruiting battles that’s been waged in quite some time.
First, he committed to Tennessee last September only to back out of the commitment 10 months later because “I committed too early,” and currently Kansas, Connecticut, Baylor, Oregon, Syracuse, Florida State, Miami, Texas and Kentucky are putting on the full-court press trying to make the Vols’ loss their gain.

Baltimore’s Finest Brings Toughness to the 2K Sports Squad

When 2K Sports unveiled the names of the players picked to represent the USA in the World Basketball Tournament in Douai, France this week, the obvious consensus was that the team was loaded with talent.
But even with the most talented of combinations, every team needs someone who will provide the toughness.
Every good team needs the guy who’s gonna come away with all of the 50-50 balls, the guy who dives on the floor, the guy who has the cocky swagger, the guy who locks up defensively and gets in the faces of slacking teammates.
For this team that player is Lake Clifton-Eastern High point guard Josh Selby, who is rated the No. 11 prospect in the HighSchoolHoop top 50.
